PRESS RELEASE: New York, NY (6/22/21)
Expanding on the legacy of concept visual albums such as Pink Floyd’s “THE WALL”, Björk’s “Biophilia” and Beyonce’s “LEMONADE”, Militia Vox’s “THE VILLAINESS” has evolved into a game-changer at the intersection of modern music, film, art and tech.
With experiential events leading the charge of what’s hot these days, Militia Vox is at the forefront with THE VILLAINESS_immersive experience: the first of its kind, interactive visual album in Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Web XR—viewable on any desktop, laptop, mobile or Oculus headset.
Users can choose their own avatar, live text and voice chat with other users directly on the virtual platform and there is an additional LYRICS experience via second screen technology!
THE VILLAINESS_immersive is a visual feast of heavy psychedelia with award-winning anthemic genre-bending music [featuring Bad Wolves members Doc Coyle and Kyle Konkiel], surreal visual art and themes of female angst, rebellion and empowerment. It encapsulates the badass, renegade attitude of mixed-race American artist, Militia Vox who wrote, performed and produced all of the songs as well as created, performed, directed, edited and produced the award-winning multi-screen videos—the first artist to do this— DIY to the extreme!
It is a celebration of empowerment, individualism and liberation from stereotypes that limit and consume us in the media and beyond. This is a flag for alternative identities with crossover style and swag.
“The visuals and audio were superb and Militia Vox is (fire)!
Great to see innovative ways for artists to express their creativity
and viewers to experience.” – Amber Osbourne, Mozilla Reality
This unique spectacle provides some much-needed escapism and connectedness during these unusual times. THE VILLAINESS_ immersive is currently available virtually for private showings to investors and potential sponsors. Tickets go on sale to the public in Fall 2021.
